Rainforest Action Network

The rain forest action network, also known as RAN was founded in 1985 and currently has 36 staff member in California and Tokyo. They believe "aggressive" action must be taken immediately to leave a safe and secure world for our children. The organization uses hard hitting marketing campaigns to reach there goal of raising awareness about trade in old growth wood products and over call for a ban on the logging of old growth forests. The group claims to be a grassroots organization, even using the word several times in there mission statement. After much research I can concluded that they are a grassroots organization that is lead and funded by the people and not a major corporation.
